SPECIAL ASSESSMENT Please submit and present the required files within 24 hours of the beginning of the Take Home Special Assessment. This Take Home Special Assessment requires you to complete the below within 24 hours. Section A and B are to be submitted in by GoogleDrive to the course coordinator Dr Fred Fialho by Tuesday 13th July at 1PM. Section C involves an 15 minutes oral presentation which you will give to Dr Fred Fialho Wednesday 14th July at 3PM. All files are to be presented at the oral presentation (camera on required) by Zoom: https://uqz.zoom.us/my/frederico.fialho. > Section A – Model and Drafting (50 marks) A) Model one simple architectural 3D space (i.e. kiosk, shack, hut,) using Rhino. This 3D space is limited within the following dimensions 600cm (length) x 600cm (width) x 400cm (height). The architectural space should include floor, walls and roof. Note that importing model is not allowed, the modelled space needs to be built with polygons or NURB surfaces and submitted in a Rhino format (i.e. model.3dm). (25 marks) B) From the previously executed 3D model extract and represent one perspective view, one plan, one elevation and one section at 1:100 scale with overall dimensions, using Rhino surfaces and submitted in a Rhino format (i.e. drawings.3dm). (25 marks) > Section B – Architectural Communication (25 marks) A) With the previously executed 3D model, create one architectural visualisation which contains a background and a human figure, using Photoshop and submitted in an Adobe Photoshop format (i.e. drawing.psd). (10 marks) B) With the previously executed plan, section, elevation and architectural visualisation layout an A3 poster (portrait format) containing a graphic colour pallet, using Illustrator and submitted in an Adobe Illustrator format (i.e. poster.ai). (15 marks). > Section C – Presentation (25 marks) C) Bring and present the Rhino, Photoshop and Illustrator files and explain the processes and workflow of your modelling, visualisation and graphic process.
