Corporate Proposal I: Base Server and Workstation
The corporation name is Canyon Aeronautics, which is an innovator in aeronautical
engineering. The company specializes in flight technology which is also the leading government
contractor for internal and external air and spacecraft parts. Headquartered in Urban town, Texas,
our leadership team and 20 engineers, five draftsmen, seven technicians, and IT and clerical
support staff work hand in hand with the U.S. government and military to design, manufacture
and professionally install high-tech parts in military aircraft and spacecraft (Canyon Aeronautics,
n.d.).
Based on my research and company’s profile, my proposal includes the below network
topology. The first and most important step is planning the network topology.

The initial step is securing the network leveraging Virtual Private Network. This will help
remain anonymous as it uses advanced encryption protocols and provides secure tunneling
capabilities to ensure all of the data transfers. This will also allow securing other locations secure
and is reliable for sharing the information within the network (Cisco, n.d.a).
Firewall is another key component. It will secure incoming/outgoing network traffic
based on the predefined security rules and avoid any unknown, unsecured and suspicious attacks.
It will guard the traffic for each port, it is where the information is exchanged with external
devices. It only allows trusted sources, restricting unwanted incoming traffic from external
sources (Forcepoint, 2019).
The router connects the devices such as servers and departments within the network by
forwarding the data packets. It forwards packets via one of its ports on the basis of destination IP
address for which the entry is already in the routing table (Cisco, n.d.b).
DMZ network functions as a subnetwork in order to protect the hosts most vulnerable to
attack such as servers and departments. Each department and servers are leveraging DMZ
umbrella shell thus providing an extra layer of security to the network. The IT department,
technicians, engineers, support team and servers are all protected and placed in the DMZ Zone
subnetwork. (Barracuda, n.d.)
Headquarter has access to the infrastructure via internet and is secured by the above-
mentioned topology. Data is thus protected from any external unwanted source at the same time
giving access to the authorized source of network.
