To guarantee that our kids are safe, secure, and happy in school, as well as have satisfying and rewarding lives, policy changes that culminate in wise investments in preventative programs, study, and education are required (Murray, Nguyen & Cohen, 2014). Sexual abuse of children is a serious but avoidable public health issue. Many youngsters put off reporting sexual violence or never disclose it at all. Juvenile sexual assault is performed by a person the kid or the child’s parents know 91percent of the time. During 2019 statistics, it was projected that the overall lifetime economic impact of sex abuse had been approximately $9.3 billion. This “Say it loud” program will be among the leading efforts meant to curb sexual abuse among children in the US. When school-based initiatives are combined with family engagement, they result in more advantages than either strategy alone. The aims of adult teaching are to provide them mostly with competencies and resources to enhance the efficacy, recognize symptoms of abuse, do the necessary referrals and form strong ties with children that promote dialogue. According to research, teaching youngsters about sexual assault by parents or other loving adults reduces the probability of the kid becoming a victim (SJ, 2014). When working with children, the aim is to raise their awareness of and application of prevention techniques, as well as to establish an empowering environment that results in improved disclosure rates. According to research, the possibility of a kid reporting abuse deters abusers, and abusers may be less inclined to victimize a youngster with strong self-esteem who seems less susceptible. It’s critical to recognize that certain small, society-based, volunteer-run organizations may require assistance to ensure the safety of children (Russell, Higgins & Posso, 2020). They frequently lack the resources necessary to design child-safe practices and policies, as well as to stay current on rules and standards. Everyone in the organization, including members, volunteers, and employees, should be taught to prevent, identifying, and reacting to sexual abuse of children, as well as grooming. Anyone in the agency should have access to, comprehend, and follow explicit protocols for responding to queries, suspicious circumstances, and abuse complaints, and also ethical principles and physical interaction rules. Nevertheless, the availability of resources to run such a non-profit organization is often limited. Most people shy away from helping for they are willing and not able. It implies that support from other government agencies or other individuals would go a long way in ensuring the necessary preventive measures and support programs against child abuse are effectively run. The agency would promote both established preventative measures and due diligence to examine promising preventative methods if funds were available. They also need to know the people they can entrust with their children and the environment under which they leave their children to grow. Through the “Say it Loud” program, children and their guardians will get to know the right procedures to follow in addressing the child molestation. They will know the agencies to seek help from. The children are taught how to raise issues relating to their sexuality. The program would ensure that the kids are ready to protect themselves in the event of a sexual assault. The “Say it Loud” campaign was inspired by the rising number of cases of child sexual abuse and the failure of individuals to speak up. The reason for failing to report these cases could be inadequate awareness on and understanding of the safe havens. Therefore, the program will incorporate community members and empower them with the right information and resources that would help in preventing and supporting child abuse victims. The program would also connect the members of the community with various child support agencies in driving the need to protect children against child abuse and offering support to abuse victims. Goals & Objectives Goals 1. The “Say it Loud” program’s primary goal is to raise awareness of child sexual abuse among children and members of the community and provide them with the appropriate information and resources. Objectives 2. To encourage children to speak out and express themselves in regard to their sexuality, sex health and security. 3. To ensure parents and their children develop a relationship, are close and communicate clearly on matters concerning sexual abuse. 4. To teach children and other child sexual abuse whistlebrowsers how they can seek help and means of self-defense in case of abuse. The objectives are implemented as the program runs its various activities to achieve the main goal. Participants will engage with instructors and facilitators 3 times a week to achieve these aims and objectives. Participants will attend one hour session working on the program materials. During these sessions, the experts will then guide the children, parents and other attendees in understanding child abuse and children entitled to give their opinions. These instructors will keep track of attendees progress and work with them to enhance their understanding and performance. The meetings with the children will be in their respective schools. Parents and other members of the community would be made to gather in other social halls and public gathering facilities. Parents will also be allowed to interact with the children. The program hopes to work with the local authorities to implement, launch and support it. The partnership will aid in raising public awareness about child sexual abuse. This teamwork will enable the entire community to effectively respond to child abuse. Therefore, child abuse prevention and support will be a collective responsibility for all in the society.
