Executive Summary

360-Degrees appraisal is a process utilized by various organizations in ensuring that they better their performance. 360-Degree assessment entails utilization of various raters who will provide a feedback regarding ones performance in a particular firm. This paper will present my feedback while working in Foxy Restaurant. The feedbacks will be provided by J.N, the Human Resource Manager, K.N Kitchen Head, L.H Fellow chef, T.G, my junior and Ali, the principal secretary in the restaurant. The paper will further hint on issues I should continue doing and those areas which in need improvement.

Summary of the Feedback

For one to grow and develop professionally, it is essential to take into consideration what your heads, juniors and peer know and think about you. Responses should be gathered from not only the seniors but also from juniors and colleagues. The right answers can only be obtained through receiving feedbacks from the individuals whom one frequently interacts with within the workstation. The goal of the feedback collected is to enhance the overall performance and improve service delivery. The input is also channelled towards enabling me to grow my relationship with other colleagues who were working with.
During my reign as the Foxy restaurant, I was humbled to receive feedback from J.N, the Human Resource Manager, K.N Kitchen Head, L.H Fellow chef and finally, T.G who was my junior and an intern in a similar post like the one I was working on. I was privileged to receive feedback from Ali, the principal secretary in the restaurant. I received their input through a questionnaire that was rotated by the Kelvin, my facilitator. The facilitator was essential to ensure that confidentiality is maintained at all cost. In this summary, I will begin by pointing out the strong points that I received from the questionnaire then later, or I will point out the negatives and weakness compiled from the feedback. This will be preceded by measures I anticipate to put in place to rectify the images and also reinforce the positives.
A good number of respondents pointed out that they were satisfied more with my work than they were dissatisfied. In their responses, they applauded my professionalism and the mode through which I adhered to work ethics, values, rules and regulations. They were pleased with my academic qualification and my behaviour and heart to learn new things that could uphold my performance from my colleagues. They also noted and applauded my ability to work under minimum or no supervision throughout the tasks and duties I was designated to undertake. My willingness and readiness to help my fellow workers whenever the need arose were not forgotten in their feedbacks. To finish with, they left a positive rating regarding my hard work in carrying out tasks.
Despite all the positives discussed above, I also had several weaknesses and negatives as pointed out in their report. Some members noted something regarding my time management skills. They proved it by stating that several chefs had filed complains that I tend to keep them waiting longer than average. Some noted that I had slightly poor motivational skills which could not encourage my juniors to work an extra mile. Other stated that was too obsessed with my work that I could hardly give them time to discuss essential work-related matters. This made it difficult for several employees to understand me better at the personal ground. Lastly, some of the employees pointed out that I need to check my readjustment in terms of flexibility to accommodate more issues, even outside the working schedules. However, strictness and adherence to professionalism and code of ethics were contributed by the fact that I was new in the restaurant.
The feedback collected was essential to my life in several ways. To begin with, the feedback made me understand that one of the most unfortunate aspects of my working environment is a poor personal relationship with other people. Excellent interpersonal skills are among the vital requirements for better work performance. Besides, the good interpersonal relationship has the capabilities of supporting teamwork, hence bringing more success to the organization. To improve on this issue, I will plan and attend one of the capacity building meetings which are responsible for equipping different individuals with personal relationship skills which they might require. Besides, I will expect and at least show up in most employee based activities through which fellow employees will have the capacity to interact with me more. This will help other employees bond with me and open avenues through which they can be accessing me.
Once I will be ins a position with excellent interpersonal skills, I will be well-positioned to motivate another employee within the organization, hence enhancing their professional performance. This will uphold the working relationship within the organization. Any organization comprising of good working relationship will perform better because such employees ca easily share their visions with goals, hence, efficiently meeting the organizational goals and performances.
I also need to look for ways through which leadership skills can be attained easily. This will be essential in enhancing my time management skills in a more accepted and professional manner. Besides, possession of these skills will help nurture and control professional tasks which I will be taking part in. Another thing which I will strive to win is acquiring necessary skills which will be responsible for enhancing my understanding of the responsibilities which I am entitled to undertake. This will ensure that every task is performed to the required standards and within the necessary and required time.
Proper time management, creation of attractive interpersonal skills with fellow employees and learning and acquiring of excellent leadership skills is essential as it will ensure that my professionalism will be in a different and better position than it is at the moment. This will enhance the performance and productivity of my work output.
