1. Project title: “A Place Called Home”
High-level project scope ( fewer than 50 words)
This project will target building homes for the homeless. By providing them with a small dwelling to call home. There are working class individuals and families who have been displaced due to job loss and other circumstances.
2. Problem to be solved or opportunity to be realized by this project (fewer than 25 words)
A Place Called Home will help place working class individuals and families who can’t afford to pay the cost of rent in some states. This will help to minimize people out on the street and provide hope to those struggling while living on the streets.
3. Project purpose or justification including specific measurable business impacts or results (fewer than 50 words)
The project will focus on building tiny homes on 3 acres of land specifically with the help from local organization, city funding and corporate sponsors. Our purpose is to build 20 furnished homes equipped with running water and electricity. By choosing a location close to resources like groceries stores, transportation, etc. this will allow individuals the hope and resources to maintain their home and sustaining reliable employment.

1. Securing funding from city/state and corporate sponsors
2. Finding a construction company who builds tiny homes
3. City approval for construction project
4. Local support from community organizations

A Place Called Home will require a project team skilled in home building, contract negotiation and budgeting. We will need to build relationships with city officials and organizations with connection with city contracts and funding resources. We need to partner with local agencies to provide building materials and labor force. Project team will need the expertise from a construction company who specializes in building tiny homes. This project will require continuous monitoring from project manager and the team to make sure project deliverables are met.
6. High-level risks (fewer than 100 words)
The project manager will initiate strategies when high-level risk occurs. Some high-level risk that may occur will be city or state rejecting the plans for the home development. Not enough funding to complete the project. Delays in permits and contract approvals. Other risks may be shortage of materials, labor, or weather delays. As the project team is our job to utilize our risk mitigation plan and prepare according to a contingency plan to each situation that may occur.
