Assignment on Pendulum 1

working on a physics question and need a sample draft to help me study.

   2. Load up the Lab Partner Pendulum 1 videos along with your lab instructions and lab skeleton. Go!
   3. Check your finished lab against the grading rubric.

Note on Measuring Length

To accurately measure the length of the pendulum, you should measure from the pivot point to the bottom of the bob. Do not measure only string – you will also include the bob in the length measurement. This is just in case you change bobs and the bobs are different shapes. See my picture for details:

Note on Finding Mass

If you do not have a kitchen scale at home, mass will be a tough measurement. First – do not go buy a kitchen scale for physics! Instead, you want to look up on google what the mass might be. For example, you can look up “mass of a duplo block”. “Mass of 1/4 cup salt”. etc. Or you can use food as your pendulum mass and use the food label to figure out the mass (using a baggie to hold the food and assuming the baggie is massless is a-ok).
