Could you write one response for the paragraph below? I do not belive the employeers are taking it too far. Writing is the basis for communication and inadequate writing skills can cause delays, miscommunication and liabilty. In the article authored by Josh Bernoff, he details how poor writing skills wastes a tremendous amount of time and costs American businesses $400 billion dollars a year. Good writing is still an essential skill because it is essential to a prosperous organization. In the article by Douglas Rushkoff, he states that writers skilled in grammar have the ability to separate themselves and are more likely to be entrusted by their employers. Also, a persons ability to collaborate and participate effectively is contingent on their reading and writiing skills. Writing is still an essential skill and is evidenced in a survey conducted by corporate recruiters. In the survey 86 percent said that strong communication skills were a priority. Good writers are benifical to their employeers because they save their superiors time and energy. Good writers also are more likely to be trusted because of their ability to clearly convey thoughts and instructions. Colleges can start improving the writing quality of students by emphasizing “The Iron Imperative”. By telling students to prioritize clarity and cohesiveness in their writing, over time they will develop the skills to write more efficiently.
