I. Introduction
Getting promoted to healthcare manager at Winn Army Hospital, I have been working here for years and finally got the opportunity to continue my career in this hospital. Veterans Hospitals have been around for many years, coming from a regular public hospital to a Veterans Hospitals has became a huge change even though they are both general hospitals. While here the first plans of my position here is to go over the regulations and guide from the corrective actions, resolving management problems with employees who are resistive to change, and going over the organizational chart which every hospital should have but making sure that it is in the order it needs to be. Or I will develop a new organizational chart with my staff that way we are all on board with what needs to happen. For our short-term goals and our long-term goals.
Part I
1. Corrective Action
a. When management and the employee come and have an agreement or disagreement of a regulation or policy.
b. Employee will have three steps in the process before getting termination, verbal response, written response, termination response.
c. Signing a contract in the policy of the company following the regulations or agreement to following the policy or becoming terminated.
· Examples
a. Not arriving on the schedule that was given to the employee.
b. Warning the employee, of what was done incorrectly, writing the correct documents to put it in the file or system.
c. Signed contract.
d. Having conversation to prevent why the employee is having such a difficult time and find a game plan that could help the employee and have them receive motivation in continuing their job.
2. Resolving a management problem with employees who resistive to change.
a. When the occurrence of the changes in the environment in the work field such as new leads, systems that need to be learned and processes that may be to much for one’s specific work technic.
b. Analyzing what the employees are used too and having great communication with each and everyone of them to understand what can help guide to the same goal. Going over scheduling and meetings that will allow employee to come for help in the job that is being done.
c. Improving job skill requirements, how to train the employees correctly and what can be done to make sure that all the training requirements are needed and what can be prevented for errors.
3. Developing an Organizational Chart
a. Understanding who is who, to go to when there are situations that occur in the organization.
b. The chart is important for organizational purposes and planning for further events that will appear in the future. The difference between individual and what job they do.
4. Mission Statement and Values for a Facility
a. The goal of the organization, having a vision that can impact the ones that work for the corporation, or the ones that go to the corporation.
b. What is the main purpose of the corporation, and the beliefs that come with it what can make this corporation have a successful advantage of what makes it continue to run.
