Imagine you woke up this morning to discover that one or more of your sex, gender, or sexuality categories had changed. Write an essay in which you:

a.Your discussion in this section must be linked to course readings/material on biology, sexuality, intersexuality/transgender, and gender (particularly at the interactional level).
2.Detail how your life from this point forward will be shaped by your gender identity. Be sure to discuss how your “new” experiences will be different from those you would and could have anticipated having as a member of your original categories and consider how your experiences in life up to this point have or have not prepared you for your new future. You MUST:
a.Ground your discussion in the multi-level framework.
b.Cover at least 4 of the following additional topics. They are:

gendered violence

Details and Instructions
The essay MUST be completed (and preferably type-written) prior to the start of the final exam. You will submit the essay as soon as you walk into the classroom to take the exam. PLEASE STAPLE YOUR ESSAY!!!
There is no minimum or maximum length for this essay. The essay is done, as far as I’m concerned, when you’ve adequately addressed the question. You should focus on answering the question well, not how long your essay is.
While you do not need to formally cite the material you’re using unless you quote directly (I’ll assume all material comes from the appropriate assigned readings), you must clearly indicate that you are relying on class material (and which material that is). Keep in mind that this is part of an exam; as such, I will evaluate you on how well you comprehend, utilize, and apply class material (see next page for more evaluation details). Class material includes discussions, but you should rely heavily on course readings and lecture material.

An important note about academic integrity: Since this is a take-home essay, you may consult any readings, notes, or other class materials.
