One effective strategy applied in my nursing practice is home-based therapy for patients with mental illness and adults. The program which allows the nurses in my setting to design and implement is the use of dancing therapy as a way of helping those patients who are mentally ill in improving cognition. This program is implemented because of many adults from the age of 60 and above primarily present with mental disorders like Schizophrenia.
Furthermore, these people can lead still lives like anyone else because of their situation for the clients. Average costs for the home-based Dance Movement Therapy involve one-hour classes that are from $65-$100. The projected outcomes for this program are that private home-based dance therapy sessions for mentally ill individuals will aid in reducing adverse symptoms.
My target population for this program are the male and female adult population since they are the ones who present with different mental diseases.
Nurses are having a very important role in designing and implementing this program which is home-based movement therapy; this is because they are the primary caregivers (Stephen Isbel, 2014). In the implementation of healthcare programs, nurses play a very great role in care coordination. Nurses are uniquely qualified to provide constructive input on the projects of the facility.

 
This can make sure that nurse’s workflows are improved and also avoid the additional cost of the project. As these advantages provide many benefits, nurses are now becoming very important members of the design and implementation team.
Instances of the ways that nurse applies towards the therapy are encouraging the well-being to the clients, decreasing body tension, depression, chronic pain, isolation and anxiety also increase the communication skills. Also, a nurse has the role of assisting mentally ill adults in creating a positive body image. They are also able to enhance their self-concept as well as self-esteem. Also, this program will help in ensuring that the society is full of healthy people who are in control of their lives, live free of the many mental health problems and are willing to speak out about the difficulties that they undergo.

As a medical professional, one requires to take an oath to be an advocate for the patients. Through maximizing their limited time with their clients, advocates have an opportunity to understand their requirements better (Amy Eagle, 2016). As an advocate for the patient, I improve my relationship with them, and this brings about enhancing the communication of the patients, which will finally enhance the satisfaction of the patient. As an advocate for this program called Home-based Dance Movement Therapy in my health organization, I play a very important role. This involves ensuring that all the individuals who have the mental disease are provided with quality care, which does not definitely have to be hospital-based but rather private. I have substantial input in designing decisions because I comprise the team which suggested the execution of this program (DMT) in a home-based setting for adults who are mentally ill. The other way that I affected design and implantation is to make sure that the program runs privately and in the facility settings in cases of many clients.

 
 
Nurses are important parties when it comes to addressing the situations required for the change to take place. Nurses can also provide examples of the processes and standards needed to establish what is needed to deliver quality care. In the implementation of the program, nurses play a vital role in care coordination. This role involves monitoring multiple clients and their care needs to make sure there are quality performances. The purposes vary between implementation and design. Here nurses are mostly needed to propose or design care processes for effective client results like home-based Dance Movement Therapy explained in this paper.

On the other hand, execution involves the application of the proposed processes of care. For instance, I propose that providing dance movement therapy on a personal basis from the client’s home would be a practical approach because many adults present with mental diseases. Because of the cost-effectiveness of the technique, the healthcare facility implements the strategy.
