Now, the prompt will request one to create a root password; however, they should proceed and press Y, then create a password following these guidelines:

Setting the root password ensures that nobody can log into the MariaDB
root user without the proper authorisation.

Password updated successfully!
Reloading privilege tables..

Again, one should hit ENTER consecutively for all prompts remaining to accept default values. Notably, this is done because it eliminates some anonymous users and tests the database, disables remote root log-ins, and loads these new guidelines to ensure that MySQL instantly configures the changes one has made.
After finishing the above prompts, one should type the command below to enable MariaDB to start booting.
 
 
sudo systemctl enable mariadb.service
 
Now, the MySQL server is installed and protected.
