_____ PEER POST # 1 I see a lot of people did not realize how far ahead of things Amazon is after reading the article. But I have thought long before, that Amazon was way ahead of the game. At times I do get that it is a little lazy to think going to the store to find a specific item you may need, to come find out that it is out of stock, and especially to find that the website show it is in stock and just never got updated in a timely matter. That is something I am sure we have all experience one time or another. Not only does the one clicks option save me time from running around different stores trying to locate the item I want, but Amazon for example for the most part usually has lower prices of some items than that of the store. Plus going into the store whether you find the item you are looking for or not, you almost never come out of the store empty handed. There is always something you walk by or see in the isle at the register that you say to yourself, hey, I could use one of these or 2 of those. So not only does the one click shop save me time but it also saves me money. Also to add, not only does Amazon offer free 1-2 days shipping most of the time with membership, but Amazon will also tell you if the item your looking for can be found cheaper at another retailer. PEER POST # 2 Hello class, I hope everyone is doing well this week. Amazon.com is a vast Internet-based enterprise that sells books, music, movies, housewares, electronics, toys, and many other goods. Amazon’s vision statement is “to be Earth’s most customer-centric company, where customers can find and discover anything they might want to buy online, and endeavors to offer its customers the lowest possible prices.” Amazon thrives on working to become the most convenient company on the planet. Forward-thinking businesses are gaining an edge on their competitors by addressing six important areas to the best of their ability, and of course amazon does all of them. The 6 areas are reducing friction, improving technology, using a dash button; similar to 1-click, self-service, subscription service, delivery, and access to the business. More and more businesses are adapting to this new business model and are succeeding in pushing their businesses forward. In my experience I am all about Amazon as it makes my life so much easier. I purchase almost everything I own through their website. Having Amazon sell almost everything I would ever need and having fast delivery and an easy interface, I mean why would I shop anywhere else. In this new age of life, we are always busy, driving to different stores to get what we need is too much of a hassle, and do not get me started on these ridiculous gas prices. The convenience of Amazon is too heaven sent that I do not see it going away anytime soon. Regarding the question on if convenience will be detrimental to the end users experience, well I am all for convenience being a good thing. The time, money, and headaches saved from using Amazon can help us have more time to do more productive things, save money to spend on other necessities, and well no one likes headaches. Convenience will only keep moving forward and some might confuse that with laziness which it can be, but the good of it definitely outweighs the bad.
