Part 1
Fossil fuels refer to the remains of animals and plants fossilized, and they constitute; natural gas, crude oil, and Coal. Despite them being bad for the environment, fossil fuels have numerous advantages like being a relatively cheap source of energy since they are easy to find and produce, they are reliable and dependable due to plenty of coalfields and advanced research into extraction, fossil fuels have beneficial by-products like plastic material that are majorly used worldwide. Fossil fuels, on the other hand, have many disadvantages like; being nonrenewable since once it is burnt, it’s gone and cannot be renewed, they are dangerous to produce since tragic disasters can happen anytime at the mining sites, they cause water pollutions and oil spills, the major disadvantage is that it causes global warming when they are burnt, the vast quantity of carbon dioxide is produced to the environment that causes drastic climate change worldwide.

Renewable energy, also known as clean energy, is produced from processed and constantly refilled or natural sources like sunlight and wind blowing. These energy sources have many advantages; renewable thus, they won’t run out, they have lower maintenance requirements since the machines have fewer moving parts, e.g., solar panels. These energy sources also save money as operating and maintenance costs are reduced and, most importantly, very friendly to the environment since they emit little to no pollutants. Renewable sources of energy at the same time have some disadvantages, like upfront cost being higher due to the technologies being more expensive, these sources are intermittent since they are not available 24/7 year-round (Lee, n.p). Finally, the storage capabilities are lower due to ample scale energy storage caused by its intermittency.

To transit from fossil fuels to clean, we should eliminate sustainable energy, fossil fuel subsidies, and price carbon; thus, we will reveal the value proposition of clean energy. Investing in energy efficiency should also be stepped up; therefore, we will power economic growth due to innovative financing. Improvement of clean cooking and access to electricity limiting the harmful greenhouse gases. Doing all these will make the energy future more sustainable (Lee, n.p). The aspects mentioned above will help in gradual transiting from fossil fuels, which are pretty dangerous to the environment due to the emitted carbon dioxide gases and the clean energy, which are environmentally friendly and renewable sources of life due to their nature.
Part 2
Coal reserves that are proved constitute more than 90% worldwide. These reserves are distributed just in ten countries: These countries are United States of America, Russia, Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Germany, Ukraine, Poland, and lastly, Kazakhstan. The U.S remains at the top holding the world’s most significant coal reserves totaling 250.2 billion tonnes. The percentage is approximately 24% of the proven coal reserves worldwide. The rate of Coal produced in the U.S, 17%, is consumed locally. Natural gas reserves are produced in ten significant countries worldwide: Russia, Iran, Qatar, Turkmenistan, the United States, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, and Algeria. The U.S holds approximately 6.5% of the world’s natural gas reserves. The U.S consumes about 29% of the total world gas supply yearly (Lee, n.p). The following are the top ten countries with proven oil reserves starting from Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Iran, Iraq, Russia, Kuwait, United Arb Emirates, United States, and Libya. The United States produces oil, constituting 4% of the global total (Lee, n.p). The U.S is the country that uses the most percentage of fat, making up 20% of the world’s consumption. The above aspects mentioned above elucidates the vast energy resources produced globally.
Conclusion
Nonrenewable energy is still dependent on many countries since it is naturally produced. Most governments have now invested much in technology and technical know-how of extracting these energies, which consists of crude oil, Natural gas, and Coal. At the same time, countries are also focusing on the complete transition to clean energy like sunlight, wind blowing, and water which are renewable energy sources. The U.S is widely recognized for its global high ranking in energy resources.
